Sebastian Grieninger, new postdoctoral researcher at IFT
Sebastian Grieninger obtained his PhD in 2020 from the Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Martin Ammon. During his PhD, he was granted a Fulbright and a DAAD scholarship to visit Prof. Andreas Karch at the University of Washington, Seattle (USA) for 19 months. After his PhD, he was granted a DAAD research grant to join the group of Prof. Anton Rebhan at the Vienna University of Technology in Austria for 6 months. His research focuses on Non-equilibrium dynamics in Holography; in particular the effects of chiral anomalies and (spontaneously) broken spacetime symmetries on the transport behavior of strongly coupled field theories as well as quantum information-theoretic aspects and swampland bounds in de Sitter.
