SO(IFT) Research Associate visitors

SO(IFT) Research Associate Dr. Antonio Delgado is visiting us Dr. Antonio Delgado from University of Notre Dame is visiting the IFT for the period June 13th to 17th, 2016. His office number is 214. His research interests are: LHC phenomenology of different models beyond the SM.
SO(IFT) Research Associate Dr. Jos Vermaseren is visiting us Dr. Jos Vermaseren from Nikhef Amsterdam is visiting the IFT for the period May 3rd to 31st, 2016. His office number is 214. Jos Vermaseren's research focuses on calculations in perturbative field theory, with excursions into mathematics and computer science whenever this is needed for his main topic.
SO(IFT) Research Associate Dr. Gerardo Aldazabal is visiting us Dr. Gerardo Aldazabal from Instituto Balseiro-Centro Atómico Bariloche, Argentina is visiting the IFT for the period April 22nd to May 24th, 2016. His office number is 401. His research interests are String Theory, String Phenomenology, Double and Extended Field Theory.
SO(IFT) Distinguished Prof. Ignacio Cirac Prof. Ignacio Cirac from Max Plank Institute of Quantum Optics Garching is visiting the IFT for the period April 18th to 22nd, 2016, as distinguished Severo Ochoa visiting professor. His office number is B04. He is one of the pioneers of the field of quantum computing and quantum information theory. His joint work with Peter Zoller on ion trap quantum computation opened up the possibility of experimental quantum computation, and his joint work on optical lattices jump started the field of quantum simulation. He has also made seminal contributions in the field of degenerated quantum gases, quantum optics and many body physics. Ignacio Cirac has been granted multiple awards, among them the 2006 Prince of Asturias Award, the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in the Basic Sciences category ex aequo with Peter Zoller, and The Franklin Institute's 2010 Benjamin Franklin Medal in Physics (jointly with David J. Wineland and Peter Zoller), and the Wolf Prize in Physics with Peter Zoller in 2013. Since 2001 he has been the Director of the Theoretical Division of the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Garching, Germany.
