Dr. Cumrun Vafa is visiting us Dr. Cumrun Vafa from Harvard University is visiting IFT for the period March 5th to 9th, 2018. His office number is 103. Cumrun Vafa's primary area of research is string theory. He will give the IFT Colloquium "The String Landscape and the Swampland" on 8th March at 12h at the CFTMAT auditorium (yellow room). Dr. Allen Caldwell is visiting us Dr. Allen Caldwell from Max-Planck-Institut für Physik is visiting IFT for the period February 15th to 16th, 2018. His research interests are focused on the investigation of the fundamental building blocks of matter, their properties and their interactions. He will give the IFT Colloquium "Accelerating Electrons with Protons in Plasma - the AWAKE Project" on 15th February at 12h at the Blue Room.
