International Hands-on Particle Physics Masterclass

The IFT is hosting today the International Hands-on Particle Physics Masterclass, that brings together approximately 40 High School students from Comunidad de Madrid, who spend one day at the IFT to carry out a data analysis experience with real data from the ATLAS or CMS experiments at the LHC collider at CERN.

The plan includes lectures in the morning session, and the data analysis in the afternoon, and concludes with a live connection with other simultaneous Masterclasses in other research centers worldwide, and with CERN!

This activity lies within the International Hands on Particle Physics Masterclass, which involves 85 institutions worldwide, and is coordinated by the International Particle Physics Outreach Group (IPPOG).
