Why does STRING THEORY live in 10 DIMENSIONS?
  • The latest YouTube video from the IFT channel has reached 100,000 views in the first four days since its release.

Although we perceive only 4 dimensions (3 spatial and 1 temporal), the mathematics behind string theory, which seeks to unify general relativity and quantum mechanics, indicates that there are 10 dimensions.

In this video, David Prieto (University of Utrecht) explains how this value is reached using mathematical methods, such as the regularization of divergent series.
