Dr. Fernando Quevedo is visiting us Dr. Fernando Quevedo from ICTP is visiting the IFT for the period September 14th to 16th, 2016. His office number is 404. He is a well-known theoretical particle physicist with wide-ranging research interests in string theory, phenomenology and cosmology. He was awarded the 1998 ICTP Prize in recognition of his important contributions to superstring theory.
Dr. Alexander Westphal is visiting us Dr. Alexander Westphal from the DESY (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron -- German Electron-Synchrotron) is visiting the IFT for the period September 14th to 16th, 2016. His office number is 401. His research interests include: Theoretical Cosmology and String Theory, in particular inflation in string theory.
Dr. Alejandro Jenkins is visiting us Dr. Alejandro Jenkins from Universidad de Costa Rica is visiting the IFT for the period September 19th to December 19th, 2016. His office number is 216. He is broadly interested in applications of effective quantum field theory in both particle physics and cosmology. He also works on self-oscillating dynamical systems and quantum thermodynamics.
Dr. Raffaele Savelli is visiting us Dr. Raffaele Savelli from IPhT Cea Saclay is visiting the IFT for the period September 12th to 16th,2016. His office number is 401. His research interests include: String Theory, focusing in particular on string compactifications to four dimensions and on their low energy effective physics.
