Dr. Sergio Hörtner is visiting us Dr. Sergio Hörtner from Centro de Estudios Científicos, Chile, is visiting the IFT for the period March 10th to April 8th, 2016. His office number is 214. His current research interests include: hidden symmetries and dualities in gravity and supergravity, higher spin theory, gauge theory of extended objects, quantum properties of black holes and flavor physics.
SO(IFT) Research Associate Dr. Douglas Ross is visiting us Dr. Douglas Ross from Southampton University is visiting the IFT for the period from March 1st to 11th, 2016. His office number is 315. He works on the application of QCD to diffractive scattering and low-x physics, with particular emphasis on an extension of the BFKL formalism which leads to discrete pomeron poles, as predicted by Regge theory.
SO(IFT) Research Associate Dr. Kiwoon Choi is visiting us Dr. Kiwoon Choi from CTPU/IBS, Daejeon is visiting the IFT for the period from March 7th to 11th, 2016. His office number is 304. His research interests are: Physics beyond the SM, Low energy supersymmetry, Axion cosmology.
Dr. Agostino Patella is visiting us Dr. Agostino Patella from CERN and Plymouth University is visiting the IFT for the period February 26th to March 3rd, 2016. His office number is B16. His research focuses on theoretical aspects and numerical simulations of strongly-coupled gauge theories, discretized on a lattice. His interests include fundamental aspects and phenomenological applications of conformal gauge theories, large-N limits of gauge theories and large-N equivalences. Recently he has developed an interest in isospin-breaking corrections to QCD, and in particular in the inclusion of radiative corrections to hadronic quantities in numerical simulations.
